Aachen Body Engineering Days 2025

On 16 and 17 September 2025, the leading minds in body development will once again meet in Aachen for the 18th Aachen Body Engineering Days - the established forum for engineers involved in the design, layout and production of body structures.

The two-day event will focus on current development projects, body-in-white concepts, lightweight construction approaches, joining technology, new material combinations, mega-cast structures and the structural integration of battery housings. Visitors particularly like the large number of exhibits that are presented and discussed.

OEMs such as Audi, BMW, Lucid and many others will provide in-depth insights into their development processes - from the A6 Avant to the ‘New Class’ and the Lucid Gravity. The core of the event is the varied programme of practice-oriented specialist presentations from industry and research, followed by moderated Q&A sessions with the speakers.

Culinary delights will be provided for participants on site at DAS LIEBIG in Aachen, which participants who have opted for the high-quality online transmission will unfortunately have to do without. The evening programme in the Karls Café rounds off the event and offers space for direct professional exchange among colleagues.

43. Vortrags- und Diskussionstagung Werkstoffprüfung 2025

Material developments are an integral part of technological innovations. A fundamental understanding of the relationships between material structure and properties is crucial. Materials testing is concerned with clarifying these relationships.

In addition, a sound understanding of the reliability of materials and products is important for economic value creation. Materials testing contributes to the circular economy by enabling sustainable material decisions and resource conservation.

Modern materials testing techniques and measurement technologies, supported by digital data management, machine learning and automated evaluations, are crucial. Other key topics remain the standardization of testing procedures and quality assurance. Data-driven methods can only be applied reliably with a high-quality database. Close cooperation is necessary in order to develop a common understanding of future requirements. This year's conference will also focus on the challenges facing the semiconductor industry.
