Swedish specialty materials manufacturer Alleima has secured an order to supply tubes and pipes for the Sizewell C nuclear power project in Suffolk, United Kingdom.

The contract covers components for the two planned EPR1600 nuclear reactors at the site on England's east coast. The order was booked in the fourth quarter of 2026 within Alleima's Tube division.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027 and continue for approximately two years. The company has not disclosed the contract value.

Nuclear applications require specialised materials

The tubes and pipes will be used in nuclear applications where materials must meet stringent requirements for quality, reliability and technical performance.

According to Carl von Schantz, President of Alleima's Tube division, the contract marks the beginning of a new customer relationship in the nuclear sector.

The company considers its materials expertise and manufacturing experience important factors in meeting the demanding specifications of nuclear power installations.
