by David Fleschen

Endress+Hauser has inaugurated a new development and production building for liquid analysis sensors and components at its site in Waldheim, Saxony. The investment of around €35 million nearly doubles the site’s usable area to more than 18,000 square meters, strengthening the company’s long-term presence in the region and creating capacity for further growth.

The new three-storey facility houses modern production areas, an automated logistics center, extensive development and laboratory space, and a new employee restaurant. The expansion marks another milestone for Endress+Hauser, which has been active in Waldheim since 1990 and has steadily expanded its operations there.

Focus on pH glass sensors

Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis specializes in the development and manufacturing of sensors and transmitter components for liquid analysis across multiple parameters. A particular focus lies on pH glass sensors, produced using a highly specialized process. The new building was designed to foster collaborative innovation and provide space for creativity throughout the complex development and industrialization phases.

“With this expansion, we are creating room for continued growth and taking our production and development to the next level,” said Dr. Thomas Buer, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis. Dr. Peter Selders, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group, added: “Endress+Hauser’s technological leadership is driven by innovation and the expertise of our employees. We continue to invest consistently in our global network to maintain that edge.”
