Supplier of the Year: Saab highlights HANZA’s delivery strength
by David Fleschen
HANZA has been named “Supplier of the Year 2026” by Saab Surveillance, recognising its delivery performance under demanding conditions. The award was presented at the Saab Surveillance Supplier Day in Gothenburg on April 28.
Saab cited HANZA’s strong commitment, high delivery precision and continuous operational improvements as key factors behind the decision. The company also highlighted the close collaboration and proactive approach that have shaped the partnership.
“We are incredibly proud of this award, which also serves as a testament to the strong partnership between our teams at Saab and HANZA,” said Erik Stenfors, CEO of HANZA.
Focus on supply chain simplification
During the event, Stenfors joined a panel discussion with Saab executives on scaling production in response to rising demand in the defence and security sectors.
“The ability to rapidly increase volumes is still limited by the complexity of supply chains. The greatest opportunity lies in simplification—fewer interfaces, fewer hand-offs, and more integrated, regional manufacturing,” he said.
HANZA’s business model is built around consolidating production into regional manufacturing clusters, aiming to streamline supply chains, improve flexibility and strengthen delivery performance.
