Kloeckner Metals expands non-ferrous footprint with Camalloy acquisition
by David Fleschen
Kloeckner Metals Corporation has acquired Camalloy, a non-ferrous service centre specialising in stainless steel and aluminium, located in Washington, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. The transaction strengthens Kloeckner’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic region and supports its stainless and aluminium activities across parts of the Midwest.
The Camalloy site operates as a fast-turn service centre serving a long-established regional customer base. With a 35,000 square metre facility equipped for shearing and PVC application, the operation adds processing capacity and broadens Kloeckner’s non-ferrous service offering in North America.
From its Pennsylvania base, Camalloy supplies customers in states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Indiana, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky and West Virginia. Kloeckner said the location improves its ability to serve industrial centres such as Philadelphia, Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus with shorter lead times and more consistent material availability.
“Camalloy raises the bar for our non-ferrous business, helping us deliver faster service and more dependable supply to stainless and aluminium customers,” said John Ganem, chief executive of Kloeckner Metals Corporation.
