ArcelorMittal has appointed Martin Sisolak as Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Building Solutions Deutschland GmbH, a leading supplier of metal lightweight construction components in Germany. He succeeds Michael Heine, who will leave the company at the end of the year to pursue new professional challenges. ArcelorMittal thanked Heine for his long-standing and successful leadership.

Sisolak brings more than 25 years of management experience in the building materials and metals industry, with a strong focus on building envelope solutions. Most recently, the graduate chemical engineer from the Technical University of Bratislava served as Chief Operating Officer and Technical Managing Director at an international building solutions provider, where he was responsible for strategy, operations and business development across several European locations. Earlier roles included senior management positions in the metals industry in Germany and Slovakia, covering production, logistics and market expansion.

“I am looking forward to taking on this new role and addressing the challenges facing our industry together with the team,” Sisolak said. “My goal is to further strengthen the company’s position by focusing on top quality, innovation and customer proximity, and by developing sustainable solutions for the future.”

ArcelorMittal Building Solutions has been producing steel trapezoidal profiles at its Sandersdorf-Brehna site since 1991. Around 25 years ago, the company commissioned its first production line for sandwich panels. In September 2025, a major investment was completed with the expansion of the coil storage facility, increasing storage capacity by around 30 percent to better meet changing market requirements.
