MesserSoft showcases end-to-end digital manufacturing at Schweissen&Schneiden
by David Fleschen

At this year’s SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, MesserSoft and Messer Cutting Systems will jointly present a fully digitalized sheet metal processing workflow, from initial quotation to finished part. Under the motto “Experience digitalization live – from first click to finished cut”, visitors will see how connected systems streamline every stage of production.
A key highlight will be a live demonstration of a complete combined process involving plasma bevel cutting, marking and drilling in a single pass on the ELEMENT cutting machine.
Step 1: quotation calculation and pre-nesting
The journey begins with rapid cost estimation using OmniFab. CAD data such as DXF or STEP files can be imported, while material use, processing time, and costs are automatically calculated. A new pre-nesting function offers optimized part arrangement at this early stage, reducing waste and machine time. The resulting part sets are transferred seamlessly to OmniWin, MesserSoft’s CAD/CAM software.
Step 2: nesting and drilling with OmniWin
The second station focuses on advanced nesting and drilling strategies. OmniWin demonstrates how drill holes are imported or defined manually, and how thread, countersink and socket types are processed. The software allows thermal and mechanical tasks such as drilling and thread cutting to be combined efficiently with automatic tool changes and optimized sequencing.
Step 3: production planning with OmniFab
At the third station, visitors will see how OmniFab Job Management simplifies production planning. Resources can be scheduled automatically, with full digital documentation and real-time shopfloor data via OmniFab Job Scheduling and Production Data Capture. Full traceability improves transparency and supports safe, reliable operations.
Step 4: live production on the ELEMENT machine
The final step takes place on the shopfloor: the ELEMENT cutting machine performs plasma bevel cutting, marking and drilling in one pass. The live demonstration highlights the practical benefits of integrated digital workflows — including shorter throughput times, increased transparency and higher productivity.
Strategic consulting for digital success
MesserSoft experts will be on-site to advise companies on their digital transformation journey. Visitors can explore how MesserSoft Consulting supports individual strategies from initial concept to full implementation.
With its integrated digital solution portfolio, MesserSoft confirms its role as a key enabler of networked manufacturing and will use the fair to demonstrate how digitalization delivers measurable results in real production environments.
