Metso is strengthening its presence in Argentina with new local capabilities and investments aimed at supporting the country’s mining industry.
The company will open a new office in San Juan during the second quarter of 2026, expanding its footprint in one of Argentina’s key mining regions, known for copper and gold production.
Metso said the new site will improve customer proximity, response times and technical support capabilities, while also supporting localized competence development and more integrated service solutions for mining operations.
“This investment clearly reflects our long-term vision for Argentina and South America as a whole,” said Eduardo Nilo Arenas, President of Metso South America. He added that the San Juan site would serve as “a strategic hub” for supporting more efficient and sustainable mining operations across the region.
The company is also evaluating further expansion stages as part of its longer-term growth plans in Argentina’s mining sector.
