Metso introduces updated digital services portfolio for aggregates operations

Metso has introduced an updated digital services portfolio for the aggregates sector, bringing together several digital tools into a unified platform aimed at improving equipment uptime and production performance.

According to the company, the new offering integrates three modules: AI-powered Predictive Maintenance, Production Performance services and the MyMetso digital platform. The combined system is designed to provide real-time monitoring, operational insights and data-driven recommendations for crushing and screening operations.

“Our mission is to help our customers keep their plants running with confidence,” said Jaakko Huhtapelto, Vice President, Technology and Digital Business of Aggregates at Metso. “By combining proven digital technologies with decades of Metso crushing and screening expertise, we can make equipment easier to operate, maintain, and optimize.”

Predictive maintenance and production optimization

The AI-powered Predictive Maintenance module analyses machine data to identify potential equipment issues before failures occur. According to Metso, the system allows operators to shift from reactive maintenance toward planned interventions while helping ensure that replacement parts are available when needed.

Predictive recommendations are delivered through the MyMetso digital platform and are available for equipment equipped with Metso Metrics connectivity hardware. Upgrade kits are also available for older machines.

The Production Performance service focuses on improving throughput and operational visibility in crushing operations. The subscription-based tool includes adaptive feed control technology designed to maintain optimal crusher load in multi-unit mobile crushing systems.

Metso says field results indicate throughput improvements of between 5% and 15%, depending on the application.

Centralised digital platform

The MyMetso platform provides operators and distributors with a single access point for machine data, spare parts information, fleet monitoring and service recommendations. The system offers role-based access so users can view information relevant to their operational responsibilities.

Metso said the integrated platform aims to simplify plant management, improve troubleshooting and support proactive maintenance planning.

The renewed digital services portfolio will be showcased at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 trade fair in Las Vegas.
