The new project of Network Steel Resources in the Leon town of Villadangos del Páramo represents a qualitative leap in industrial activity in the province of León, says the local newspaper.

Network Steel Resources will create in Leon the main and most modern plant in Spain made of galvanized steel, according to the president of the NSR group, Oscar Heckh in Valladolid.

Oscar Heckh specified that the works to convert the Vestas plant in Villadangos into a modern center for the production of steel will start in February 2019. The works will be completed, as planned, at the end of 2020, at which time the plant will be able to operate at full capacity. production capacity.

The total investment could reach up to 130 million euros, and will involve the creation of about 350 new direct and up to 1,000 indirect jobs.

The president of NSR also stressed that the project will involve the creation of an important hub or logistic and steel center in León, which will have new railway infrastructures with the aim of having direct access to the main seaports. This 'hub' will place León in an optimal position to provide the Spanish and Portuguese steel markets.
