Assofermet has announced the election of Sabrina Canese to the Board of EDRA–GHIN (European DIY Retail Association / Global Home Improvement Network), the leading global network for the DIY, home improvement and hardware sector.
Sabrina Canese is President of Assofermet Ferramenta and owner of Canese Dante Srl. Her appointment is seen as a significant international recognition for the Italian hardware sector and underlines the growing role of Italian companies within global industry platforms. According to Assofermet, the election reflects Canese’s long-standing commitment, strategic vision and contribution to the development of the supply chain.
Commenting on her election, Canese said: “I am truly honoured by this important recognition. I thank the voting members for their trust, which I will honour with commitment and seriousness. Over the past six years, we have taken part in all the major EDRA events and closely followed European regulatory proposals on several issues that are also highly relevant for our market. I will strive to represent the needs and specific characteristics of our market from a European perspective.”
Assofermet noted that the appointment strengthens Italy’s presence in international decision-making forums that shape strategies, standards and trends in the DIY and hardware sector, fostering closer cooperation between industry, distribution and European associations.
In a further sign of growing international engagement, Assofermet Ferramenta also highlighted the recent election of Francesca Ferrari to the National Council of Confcommercio’s Young Entrepreneurs, citing both her entrepreneurial qualities and the continuity of her professional path.
Assofermet congratulated Sabrina Canese on her election and wished her every success in her new role.
