Thyssenkrupp schedules tk accelis stock market listing for October 28
by David Fleschen
German industrial group thyssenkrupp has confirmed October 28, 2026, as the planned date for the stock market listing of its materials distribution and supply chain services business, tk accelis. The shares will be traded in the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The announcement follows approval of the securities prospectus by Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) on October 21, clearing a key regulatory requirement for the transaction.
The listing forms part of thyssenkrupp's strategic restructuring under its ACES 2030 programme, which aims to transform the group into a financial holding company with independently operating businesses.
Thyssenkrupp to retain 51% majority stake
Under the planned spin-off, 49% of tk accelis Group AG & Co. KGaA will be distributed to existing thyssenkrupp shareholders. The parent company will retain a 51% stake, remaining the strategic majority shareholder.
Shareholders will receive one tk accelis share for every 20 thyssenkrupp shares held on the effective date of the spin-off, currently scheduled for October 27, 2026. The allocation will take place automatically through depositary banks without additional payment.
Fractional shares will be sold on the stock exchange, with the proceeds distributed proportionally to shareholders. Holders of thyssenkrupp American Depositary Receipts will generally receive cash settlement.
The transaction was approved by a large majority at thyssenkrupp's Extraordinary General Meeting on August 7, 2026.
Materials distribution business expands supply chain services
Tk accelis operates as a manufacturer-independent materials distributor and supply chain services provider. According to thyssenkrupp, the company is the market leader by sales in Germany and Europe and ranks third in North America.
In recent years, the business has expanded beyond traditional materials distribution towards a service-oriented model. Its activities increasingly include materials processing, precision manufacturing, supply chain management and digital solutions supported by data analytics and artificial intelligence.
The planned listing is intended to provide tk accelis with greater operational independence and flexibility to pursue investment and growth opportunities.
Listing advances thyssenkrupp's restructuring strategy
Thyssenkrupp CEO Miguel López described the transaction as another step in the group's strategic realignment.
“As an independent, listed company, tk accelis can capitalize more effectively on its market opportunities and develop its strategy with greater flexibility,” López said.
The group intends to develop into a financial holding company that maintains majority interests in independently managed businesses.
The tk accelis shares are scheduled to begin trading on October 28 under ISIN DE000TKCC1S8 and German securities identification number (WKN) TKCC1S.
