UK METALS EXPO expands focus on stainless steel supply chain at 2026 event

UK METALS EXPO is placing a stronger emphasis on the stainless steel industry at its 2026 edition, positioning the event as a key meeting point for companies across the UK's metals supply chain. The exhibition will take place on 4-5 November 2026 at the NEC Birmingham and, for the first time, will be co-located with ADVANCED ENGINEERING and LAB INNOVATIONS.

According to the organisers, the combined events are expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors, 750 exhibitors and an extensive conference programme covering manufacturing, materials, engineering and industrial technologies.

Focus on the entire stainless steel value chain

The organisers say the event is designed to bring together businesses from across the metals ecosystem, including stainless steel producers, stockholders, service centres, processors, fabricators, recyclers and technology suppliers. Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss sourcing, processing technologies, finishing capabilities and new business partnerships in a single location.

In addition to stainless steel, the exhibition will cover the broader metals supply chain, with exhibitors representing raw materials, fabrication, recycling, automation and manufacturing technologies.

Trade, decarbonisation and automation on the conference agenda

A strengthened conference programme will focus on many of the issues currently shaping the metals sector, including CBAM and trade policy, supply chain resilience, decarbonisation, automation, productivity and skills development. According to the organisers, these topics are intended to provide practical guidance for producers, processors, distributors and end users facing changing market conditions and regulatory requirements.

Co-location broadens manufacturing connections

By running alongside ADVANCED ENGINEERING and LAB INNOVATIONS, the exhibition aims to create additional opportunities for companies serving industries such as construction, transport, food processing, chemicals, energy and medical technology. The co-location is expected to give visitors access not only to metals suppliers but also to equipment manufacturers, testing specialists and technology providers supporting advanced manufacturing.
