World crude steel production

The 64 countries reporting to worldsteel increased their crude steel production by 4.9% year-on-year to 155 million metric tons in March 2019. Chinese crude steel production increased by 10% to 80.3 million metric tons. In the first 3 months of the current year global crude steel production increased by 4.5% year-on-year to 444.1 million metric tons.
