Wuppermann appoints Ulrike Claus as new Chief Financial Officer

The Wuppermann Group has announced a change to its Executive Board. Ulrike Claus will join the Board of Wuppermann AG as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on September 1, 2026, succeeding Dr. Arndt Laßmann, who will retire at the end of July after more than a decade with the company.

Based in Leverkusen, Germany, Wuppermann is one of Europe's leading steel processors, supplying surface-finished flat products, tubes, tube components and profiles for a wide range of industries.

Leadership transition planned for September

As CFO, Claus will assume responsibility for Controlling, Finance and Accounting, as well as IT, Legal Affairs and Human Resources.

She joins Wuppermann from GEDORE Holding GmbH, where she most recently served as Managing Director and CFO. Prior to that, she held senior management positions at apt Holding GmbH and spent nearly two decades within the Thyssenkrupp Group, including leadership roles at Thyssenkrupp Business Services.

Recognition for outgoing CFO

Dr. Arndt Laßmann will leave the company on July 31, 2026, at his own request and retire after helping to guide Wuppermann through a period of major investment and transformation.

According to Wuppermann, Laßmann played a key role in projects including the establishment of the group's production facility in Hungary and the recently commissioned tube plant in Altmünster, Austria.

Oliver Rechtsprecher, Spokesman of the Executive Board of Wuppermann AG, said the company was pleased to appoint an experienced executive to the role, while also expressing appreciation for Laßmann's contribution over the past ten years.

Focus on future growth

Commenting on her appointment, Claus emphasized the importance of long-term responsibility and sustainable decision-making.

The Wuppermann Group currently operates five production sites and employs around 800 people. In 2025, the family-owned steel processing company generated revenue of €654 million.
