Düsseldorf – Xinjiang Amer Qian Golding Cable Co., Ltd. from China, a subsidiary of Amer Group, has placed an order with SMS group for a CONTIROD®* casting and rolling plant to produce copper wire.

Sao Paulo – In a market weakened by the loss of competitiveness and consumption, derived from  the  high  cost  of  the  domestic  market  and  unfair  competition,  Latin  America  saw  its  production  of  crude  steel  in  December fall by 12% compared to the same month of 2018.

While the capital goods businesses achieved in some cases double-digit growth rates, the materials businesses were impacted by price and volume losses.
